Glenda Joyce Thomas McMillan, 81, of Ballinger, Texas went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 3, 2022. She passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.
Glenda was born in Ranger, Texas on September 9, 1940, to Leroy and Ethel Keck Thomas. She attended high school in Odessa, Texas, and graduated from Odessa High School in 1959. Glenda married the love of her life, Milton McMillan, in February of 1962. They had three children together and lived in Ballinger, Texas.
During the time Glenda lived in Ballinger she worked at many places such as: Curiosities- Tea Room, City of Ballinger, McMillan family-owned Laundry Mat, and Ballinger ISD. While working at these various places Glenda made lifelong friendships.
Glenda was a member of the 9 th Street Church of Christ since 1962 and was a devoted Christian that spent time with the Lord daily. Glenda loved playing sports, and watching her grandchildren play sports. She loved singing and was active in her church. Glenda enjoyed reading, crossword puzzles, and going to the movie theatre (picture show). She appreciated the outdoors and loved spending time with friends and family. She adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved her pets, especially her last two dogs Precious and Dixie. Glenda was the sweetest, most kindhearted, and thoughtful genuine lady. Her family remembers her as a dedicated Christian, Wife, Mother, Sister, Aunt, and loving Nana who always encouraged them to follow to Lord.
Glenda is preceded in death by her parents, Leroy and Ethel Thomas, her sister Wanda Lomax, great-niece Grace Register, and great-grandchildren Pierson twins.
Glenda is survived by her husband of 60 years Milton McMillan of Ballinger, Texas. Her children; Kerri and husband Wesley Garcia of San Angelo, Texas, Scott McMillan of Midland, Texas, and Marty McMillan of San Antonio, Texas. Her sister Carolyn and Richard Siler of Odessa, Texas. Her grandchildren; Sandie Dobbins of White Settlement, Texas, Ernie and Allison Reynolds of New Braunfels, Texas, Megan and John Aaron House of Midland, Texas, Alisha and husband Claudio Barajas of San Angelo, Texas, and Ashley Pierson of Odessa, Texas, and Camren and Crystal McMillan of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. Her great-grandchildren; Reiley, Alyssa, Ryder, Kyleigh, Garon, Sophie, Bryce, Madison, and Conner. Her nieces/nephews: Randy, Doni, Craig, Trisha, and Stacy.
