Herman Lee Creek was born on December 14, 1931, in Gustine Texas, to Elmer Lee and Mattie (Phillips) Creek. Herman married Mina Pearl (Smart Bjorn), on November 26, 1951, in Leaday, Texas. Together they shared 54 years of marriage before her passing in 2005.
Herman worked in the oil field before becoming a welder. Later he became owner and operator of City Laundry Service in Ballinger for more than 20 years. Herman was one of a family of nine children, 8 boys, and 1 girl. He was an active member of the worldwide organization of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mina of Ballinger, and daughter, Nancy Gail Creek.
Herman is survived by his daughters, Nita Bowman and Mary Schrank, of Ballinger; one son, Herman Lynn Creek; his brothers, Luther Creek and Paul Creek; His sister, Neva and her husband Aubrey Conner; and a number of grand and great-grandchildren.
The family will hold a private service at a later date.
