Ina Albarado, 76, of Rowena, passed away Monday, June 8, 2020, in Ballinger, Texas.
She was born July 15, 1943, to Isabel and Enedina (Gomez) Fuentes in Del Rio, Texas. She married the love of her life, Ben Albarado, on May 6, 1958, in Rowena, Texas. They shared 62 loving years together. Ina was a faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharistic Minister, a Lector and a Communion Minister to the Sick and Homebound. She was an active member of the St. Ann’s Altar Society and the Catholic Daughters of America. Ina also served as the CCD Coordinator at St. Joseph’s and also directed numerous Cursillos. Ina is mostly remembered for her love and devotion to our Blessed Mother Mary and the Most Holy Rosary. Her obedience to our Lord was highlighted when she was asked to proclaim one of the readings at the Papal Mass when Pope John Paul II, now Saint John Paul II, came to San Antonio, Texas in September of 1987. She embraced this honor with the utmost reverence and humility.
Ina will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, leaving her family and friends the greatest gift of all, her FAITH!
Ina is preceded in death by her parents, Isabel & Enedina (Gomez) Fuentes, her brothers, Rueben Fuentes, Isabel Fuentes Jr., Rojelio Fuentes Sr., Manuel Fuentes and grand daughter, Crystal Albarado.
She is survived by her husband, Ben; her son Ben Albarado Jr. and wife Elsa, and her daughters; Norma Multer and husband, Tony, Carmen Daniels and husband, Jeff, Martha Lange and husband, Marshal, and Lorina Albarado; Grandchildren; Isaac Albarado, Chelsey and Jose Rangel, Alisha Multer, Abbey and Dillon Becker, Adam Multer, Matt and Meagan Daniels, Josh Daniels, Jesse Daniels, Jacob Daniels, Steffanee and Tyler McGee, Trevor Lange, Tania Vaughn, Teagan Vaughn and Taelin Vaughn; Great-grandchildren; Eli and Noah Rangel, Maddox and Joel McGee, McKenna Daniels and Kendryxx Burke.
A Rosary led by Deacon Alan Pelzel will be held at 7:00 PM Thursday, June 11, 2020, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena. A celebration of the Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, June 12th at St. Joseph with Fr. Ariel Lagunilla officiating. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers. Burial will follow in the St. Joseph Cemetery. Arrangements are with Lange Funeral Home.
