J. C. "Pete" Gray

He was born November 22, 1937 to Jake and Rita (Hart) Gray in Winters. He joined the United States Army and served honorably from 1956- 1958.  After his military service, he began a career as a heavy equipment operator.

He is preceded in death by his parents; brother, Mike Gray; and two sons, Donald Earl and Jame Craig.

Pete is survived by his wife, Barbara; his shared-children, Debra Austin, Archie Ross Austin, John Austin, and Ralph Austin; brother David Gray; sixteen grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 5:00-6:00 pm on Monday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Winters, with rosary following at 6:00 pm.  Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 am on Tuesday at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel with Fr. Chennia celebrating. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Winters.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to be made to a favorite charity.
