James William Templeton, 72, of Ballinger, passed away Saturday, June 23, 2018 in San Angelo, Texas.
He was born July 27, 1945 to J.B. and Lillie Mae (Kiefer)Templeton in Winters. He graduated from Winters High School. While living in Ballinger, James worked for 48 years as a meat processor with Dankworth Meat Packing and was known for his handmade wooden Christmas decorations. He ran the snow cone stand in Ballinger and was known around town as the ‘snow cone man”.
James was preceded in death his parents.
He is survived by his sisters Carolyn Harris and husband Bob of Ballinger, Wanda Booe and Norma Haddon also of Ballinger. As well as his brother Gene Templeton of Ruidoso, New Mexico; and nieces and nephews, Cade Haddon, Courtney Lange, Tim Rose, Rick Rose, Rhonda Reid, and Stuart Templeton.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, June 27 at 7 th Street Baptist Church with Jordan Burrell and David Dunn officiating.
