Jana Batease

Jana Elizabeth Woods Batease, 41, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2022, at her residence.

She was born on Tuesday, January 20, 1981, in Hornell, New York to Ronald Allen and Opal (Kepner) Woods. Jana graduated from Jordan-Elbridge Central High School in 2000.

Jana married the love of her life, Raymond Batease, Jr. on July 3, 2015, in Schenectady, New York.

She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, John (Cookie) Woods and Shirley (Bero) Woods, and her beloved furry baby (dog) Dozer.

Jana leaves behind her husband, Raymond, Jr.; sons, Raymond Wendel Batease III, and Brendon Anthony Batease, of Ballinger; mother, Opal Kepner (Ken Parkola) of Minoa, NY; father, Ronald Allen (Patty) of Mallory, NY; brother Aaron Woods (Robyn) of Weedsport, NY; nephew AJ Woods, and niece Marry Woods of Weedsport, NY; sister, Star Woods, nephews Dallas and Dakota, and niece Destinee of Maine.  Her maternal grandmother Janice Kepner of Hornell, NY; maternal grandfather Allan (Arlene) Kepner, Sr. of Wellsville, NY; maternal great-grandmother, Doris Morgan of Arkport NY and many aunts, uncles, and cousins on both sides.  She is also survived by her loving Batease family; father and mother-in-law, Raymond, Sr and Marlene Batease of Florida; brothers-in-law, Phillip and Billy Jack Batease of Schenectady, NY and sisters-in-law, Marie Batease of Rochester, NY and Rachael Batease of Florida.

She was a sweet, kind, loving and gracious soul who was loved by all that knew or met her. Jana was a true Dallas Cowboys fan. Loved the color purple and dolphins. She also loved her boys, her husband, and her family.  She was a daddy’s girl.  We’ll see you again in Heaven, baby girl.
