Jeanette Helen Wilde, 80, earned her eternal reward on February 13, 2022. Jeanette was born to Edwin and Leona Moeller Book on September 1, 1941. She attended school in Harriett and graduated from Miles High School in 1959. She went on to attend The University of the Incarnate Word in San Antonio only to return home before someone tried to steal her sweetheart. Jeanette married Carl James Wilde on July 19, 1961, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena. Carl and Jeanette raised a family together for over 58 years. A loving wife, mother, and Momo, Jeanette provided her family with patient motherly love and her husband with constant loving companionship. Jeanette and Carl were blessed to have lifelong friends who provided lots of laughs and memories. She was a devoted and faithful member of St. Joseph Catholic Church where she was a member of St. Ann’s Altar Society and the bible study group which she thoroughly enjoyed.
Jeanette is survived by her children; Lisa Kasberg and husband Gerry of Birome, Darrell Wilde and wife Karen of Keller, and Denise Medrano of Rowena. Jeanette was the proud Momo of eight grandchildren; Michael Kasberg and wife Kelli, Grace Robbins and husband Philip, Dustin, Derek, and Lauren Wilde, Shelly Dufrene and husband Earl, and Rachel and Carrie Medrano and two great-granddaughters; Brinley and Rylee Dufrene and a great-grandson: Beau Robbins arriving in April. She is also survived by her brother Wayne Book and wife Judy of Atlanta GA, her sister Debra Dickson and husband Doyle of Miles, and her sister-in-law, Janet (Kozelsky) Watkins and husband Cliff of Rowena.
Jeanette was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, mother and father-in-law, brother-in-law Joe Kozelsky, Jr., and special family friend Nancy Brosig.
Rosary will be recited at 6:30 pm on Wednesday, February 16th at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am on Thursday, February 17th at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Ariel Lagunilla officiating and Father Bhaskar concelebrating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
The family requests memorials be made to St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery, Building Fund, or a favorite charity.
