Jerry Don Britt

Jerry Don Britt, 68, of Millersview, Texas, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday, April 19, 2021.

He was born on July 18, 1952, to James Oscar and Helen R. (Blankenship) Britt in Wink, Texas.  Jerry married the love of his life, Dolores Vinson on November 5, 1973, in Ranger, Texas.   He worked in the oil field and went on to own his own company, Greenwood Air Drilling, serving the Midland and Ozona communities.  While he was a homebody, he loved being with his family, and he loved to hunt, especially out in Ozona.  Jerry knew everyone, didn't matter where he went, people always knew him.

Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Oscar and Helen Britt, his brother Bill Britt, and his sisters Marie Fowler and Nancy Graves.

He is survived by his wife Dolores, his daughters Jodi Williams and husband Phillip of Abilene, and Lindsey Britt of Millersview.  Jerry is also survived by his sister Dorothy Sears, of Lawn, his granddaughter Morgan Swan of Granbury, Texas, and several nieces and nephews, and many great-nieces and nephews as well.

A graveside service for Jerry will be held on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at 2:00 pm at Merriman Cemetery in Ranger, Texas with Mike Edmendson officiating.
