Jimmy Duane Behne

Jimmy Duane Behne, 61, of Ballinger passed away Wednesday, July 5, 2023, at his residence.

He was born on Friday, July 14, 1961, in Houston, Texas to Bernard and Virginia (Vollmer) Behne.  He married Sandra Brookshire on July 15, 2005, in Dickinson, Texas. Jimmy loved woodworking and was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers fan. Most of all he loved spending time with his family and his grandsons. Jimmy spent 42 years in the welding supply business and served as a Branch Manager in Brownwood for Airgas in which he had been employed for 23 years.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents; brothers Gary Behne and Craig Behne; and sister, Kathye Behne Fleming.

Those left behind to cherish his memory are his wife, Sandra; son, Jared Behne and his wife, Amber, daughter, Eryn Engle and her husband, Nelson; stepdaughter, Natasha Gutwillig and her husband, David, stepson, Joey Adkins and his wife, Sofi; grandchildren Logan and Landon Behne and Jesse Gutwillig; and brother, Dennis Behne.

A private family service will be held at a later date.
