Jimmy M Watkins

Jimmy M. Watkins, 67, of Jones Creek, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, January 10, 2022.

He was born on April 23, 1954, to Denver and Joy (Burris) Watkins in Ballinger, Texas.  Jimmy was an athletic man, that loved the great outdoors.  Whether he was playing baseball with his family, windsurfing, fishing, or dancing with the love of his life, Pam, he made the most of life.  He enjoyed woodworking and made many beautiful pieces of furniture.  He also worked as a teacher for the Windham School District until his death.  On October 28, 2012, he married Pamilla Baldwin in San Angelo, Texas.

Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents Denver and Joy and his brother Michael Watkins.

He is survived by his wife Pamilla, his daughters, Kimberly Williford, Jennifer (Stefan) Miller, Emma Watkins, Kimberly (Jerry) Galindo, sons Bobby Watkins, Jacob Watkins, and David C. Hernandez.  Jimmy is also survived by his grandchildren Paige Lenvelle, Kyler Williford, Luke Miller, and Benjamin, Caleb, and Gracie Galindo.  He will be greatly missed by his siblings, Kenneth (Renee) Watkins, Barbara (Ben) Ramon, Pamela (Charles) Schkade, Quentin (Margaret) Watkins, Marvin Watkins, Denise (Howard) Beimer, Scott (Stormie) Watkins, Richard (Dinette) Watkins, Kathy Halfmann, Cindy Watkins, and Joy (Ernest) Cavazos.

A visitation will be held for Jimmy on Friday, January 14, 2022, from 6-7:30 pm at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas.  His graveside service will follow on Saturday, January 15, 2022, at 10 am at Old Runnels Cemetery also in Ballinger, Texas.  Kevin Burris will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Amed Hospice in Lake Jackson, Texas, or to a favorite charity in Jimmy’s honor.
