Joseph Edward Pouyer, 75, of Talpa, Texas, passed away on
Monday, March 2, 2020, in Abilene, TX.
Rosary will be at 6:00 p.m Friday, March 6, 2020, at St. Mary, Star of
the Sea, Catholic Church, Ballinger Texas.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, March 7, 2020,
at St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church, Ballinger Texas.
with Father Jesus, officiating. Burial will follow at Glen Cove
Cemetary. Arrangements are by Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger
Texas.
Joseph Edward Pouyer, known lovingly as Joe, was born in
Perryville, Missouri to Bertrand J. Pouyer and Blanch Ellen Canter on
November 7, 1945. Joe joined the US armed forces after high
school. He worked in the oil industry for many years until he retired
Joe and Lynda retired to Glen Cove Texas to return to his farming
roots. Joe was a devoted Catholic and loved his Lord and Savior.
Joe is preceded in death by his parents, Bertrand J. Pouyer and
Blanche Ellen Canter.
Joe is survived by his wife Lynda Pouyer, and his children and their
spouses, Annette Eilene Pouyer and Brad Pickett, and Curt Pouyer
and Sheri Berg, and Wendi and Scot Millican. His siblings Fran
Berkbigler, Margaret, and Bob Hacker, Albert Pouyer, Tillie and Tom
Mason, Tony and Susan Pouyer, and Sue and Steve Dabadie. Along
with grandchildren Michael and Taylor Pickett, Arianna and Jon
Richins, Olivia Pickett, Hunter Pouyer, Zachary Pouyer, Austin
Millican and Gage Millican and great-grandchildren Landon Pickett,
Grayson Pickett, and soon-to-be Blakely Pickett. Many nieces and
nephews as well.
He loved his family very much.
Pallbearers are Curt Pouyer, Hunter Pouyer, Zachary Pouyer,
Michael Pickett, Bradley Pickett, Austin Millican, Gage Millican, and
Jon Richins.
The family of Joseph Pouyer wishes to extend our sincere thanks to
all of the friends and family near and far for their support and for the
incredible doctors and medical staff that worked tirelessly to make his
quality of life it's best.
