John H. Wilkerson Sr, 67, of Coleman, Texas, passed away peacefully on Monday, July 25, 2022, in Abilene, Texas. He was born on December 19, 1954, to William Leo Wilkerson, Sr. and Evelyn (Sutton) Kalka in Elmendorf, Texas. John was a hard-working mechanic that enjoyed ranch work and fishing as well. He loved watching westerns and was still trying to do mechanic work after his body would no longer allow him. John loved to create mischief for his siblings. He was a prankster and loved traveling and seeing the world when he was younger.

John is preceded in death by his parents William Leo Wilkerson, Sr. and Evelyn Kalka, as well as his brothers William Wilkerson Jr. and Terry Noal Wilkerson.

He is survived by his children, Robert Wilkerson and wife Tana of Billings, Montana, Addie Escobar and husband Ernest of Ballinger, John H. Wilkerson Jr and wife Sarah of Kempner, Texas, Steven Louis Clark of Bandera, and James William Wilkerson of Coleman, Texas. John is also survived by his brother Andy Lee Wilkerson Sr. and wife Helen of Bandera, Cleo Wilkerson Silva and husband Roel of Midlothian, Carl Wilkerson of Pipe Creek, Billie Wilkerson Lutz and husband Randy of Abilene, Perry Daniel Wilkerson and wife Tammy, Telitha Ann Wilkerson Foster of Winters, Lisa Kremski and husband Paul of Bandera, Joan Kalka of Bandera, and Stepfather Jerry Kalka of Bandera. He will be fondly remembered by his 15 grandchildren, and 6 great-grandchildren with 2 on the way.

A private family memorial service will be held for John. The family wants to thank Lange Funeral Home, Hendrick Hospital, and Oaks at Radford Hills for the care and respect shown during this process.
