Jose Abel Cordova

Jose Abel Cordova, 95, of Ballinger, died peacefully Saturday morning, January 12, 2019 in Ballinger.
He was born in Mexico on April 8, 1923 to Paulino and Marcelina (Chaires) Cordova. He moved to the area in 1961 and was employed as a spot welder for Dry Manufacturing in Winters for 22 years, and was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena.
Abel is preceded in death by his parents; his wife; 2 sons, Jose Abel Jr. and Victor; a daughter, Evangelina Cordova; and a sister, Maria DeJesus Cordova.
He is survived by a daughter, Maria Cordova of Ballinger; brothers, Leonel Cordova, Leonardo Cordova, and Cruz Cordova, all of Mexico; and sisters, Emma Cordova and Anita Cordova, both of Mexico.
A Rosary will be held at 6:00 pm Tuesday, January 15, 2019 at the Lange Funeral Home Chapel.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am Wednesday, January 16, at St Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena with burial following at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
