Joyce Marie Harris

Joyce Marie Harris, 78, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 12, 2023, surrounded by her loved ones.

She was born on March 19, 1944, to Edgar and Irene (Hudson) Rozzlle in Eden, Texas.  On May 23, 1964, she married the love of her life, John W. Harris.  Together they shared 49 beautiful years before his passing in January of 2013.   Joyce was a simple woman, whose greatest accomplishment was her family.  She cherished and loved her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.  After a long battle against the effects of COPD, she is finally free.

Joyce is preceded in death by her parents Edgar and Irene Rozzlle, her husband John W. Harris, her son Chet Harris, and her brother Calvin Rozzlle.

She is survived by her daughter Tammie Hohensee and husband Mike, and her son Charles Harris and wife Yvonne.  Joyce will be greatly missed by her grandchildren Brandon Hohensee and wife Melissa, Laryn Gibson and husband Robert Paul, Travis Hohensee and wife Hunter, and Kaitlin Harris.  She will be tenderly remembered as well by her great-grandchildren Carter, Hadley, Taylor, Taytum, Tyson, Tory, Tripp, Hux, and Blayke.  Joyce is also survived by her siblings Ann Edwards, Jerry Rozzle and wife Laura, Dalbert Rozzle, and daughter-in-law Janna Harris.

A funeral service for Joyce will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, March 16 ^th , 2023 at the chapel at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas with Don Sessoms officiating.  Interment will follow at Concho Cemetery.

The family wishes to thank the nursing staff of Ballinger Healthcare and Rehab for their tender love and care of Joyce and her pulmonologist, Dr. Zarate, and his PA, Kara.
