Karen Anne Zentner

Karen Anne Zentner, 84, passed away peacefully on April 6, 2024, in her hometown of San Angelo, Texas.

She was born on October 1, 1939, and was a proud resident of San Angelo, where she lived a life filled with love, passion, and dedication. Through her hard work and determination as a successful business owner of The Original Zentner’s Steakhouse, Karen touched the lives of many in her community and beyond.

She loved Genealogy, Chuck Wagon Cook-offs, antique shopping, and spending time with her Rescue animals.

Karen was preceded in death by her loving parents Anthony and Wilma (Huebner) Zentner, and Brothers Bob Zentner and Tony Zentner.

Karen leaves behind a legacy of love and inspiration to her children, Phillip (Jennifer) Gandy, Loye (Rick Fink) Monts and Cheryl (Danny) Maxwell. She leaves behind her Grandchildren Garrett (Kathlyn) Maxwell, Morgan (Christian) Summers, Ryan (Caylan) Gandy, Sky Monts, Colton (Sophie Kaineg) Monts and Jake (Brittany) Gandy. She also leaves behind her Great-grandchildren Noelle Gandy, Sloane Maxwell and Maya Monts.

Karen's compassion and strength will always be remembered and cherished by those fortunate enough to have known her.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks for donations to be made to The West Texas Boys Ranch or a local animal rescue of your choice.

A private graveside service will be held May 1, 2024, at St. Joesph Cemetery in Rowena, Tx.
