Katie Priem passed into her Heavenly Home on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at San Angelo Nursing and Rehab.  She was born to Ed and Clara (Kurtzman) Pfluger on April 25, 1921, in Archer County, Texas.

She graduated from Hutto High School in Hutto, Texas in 1937 and then attended Nixon-Clay Business College in Austin, Texas.

Katie married the love of her life, Oscar W Priem on March 8, 1941, in Austin, Texas.  She then moved to Rowena and lived with her parents while Oscar served four years in the Army during World War II.

They purchased a farm west of Ballinger where she lived for the next 50 years and then moved to San Angelo.  While living in Ballinger she worked 43 years at the Ballinger Co-op Gin Co.  She then took care of her husband until his death in 1968 and her brother until his death in 1998.

She is preceded in death by her husband in 1968; her parents; her brother, Joe P. Pfluger; and her brother-in-law, Weldon Buxkemper.

Katie is survived by her daughter, Oleen Kay Priem of San Angelo; her grandson, Thomas J Lynch II of Austin; and sister, Edleen Buxkemper of Ballinger.  She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
