Kenneth Dowell Davis Sr.

Kenneth Dowell Davis Sr, age 54, passed away on August 31, 2020, at his home in Fort Worth, TX.

Kenneth was born on May 11, 1966, to Ross and Wanda Davis in Victoria, TX. Kenneth is survived by his daughter, Amber D. Davis of Fort Worth, son, Kenneth D Davis, Jr., daughter in law, Lindsey C. Davis of Fort Worth, and 2 grandchildren, Barrett Alan Davis and Raelyn Jewel Davidson. He is proceeded in death by James Ross Davis, father; Wanda Jewel Davis, mother; Stephen Ross Davis, brother; and Kimberli Dawn Davis, sister.

Kenneth spoke of his fond memories at his parents' fishing center in Port O’Connor.  He was an avid fisherman, and often pulled his boat to work, so to be on the lake at 5:05 pm. After the tragic loss of his sister, the Davis family moved to San Angelo, Tx.  There he endured the loss of his brother. Kenneth went on to graduate high school in 1984, marry and have two beautiful children.  He loved working in the oil field, and eventually opened and operated K.D. Davis Contracting, until his vehicle accident in 1992.

Ken’s life was full of loss at a young age.  A grief that is unimaginable during the teenage years. While his parents had to endure almost losing a third child, his life was turned to the Lord in a very profound way. Through all the rehabilitation, learning to live life in a chair, and day to day uncertainty, he maintained an attitude that glorified God. His love for the Lord was unwavering and inspiring. Watching and caring for his kind soul was humbling and a true blessing. Kenneth was able to live independently, play a part in his children’s and grandchildren’s lives, who he cherished deeply.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Saturday, September 12, 2020, at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas.  Friends may visit Friday, September 11 from 6-8 pm. Flowers and Condolences can be sent to Lange Funeral Home, 1910 Hutchins Ave, Ballinger, TX 76821
