Leslie Piel

July 30, 1958 — September 7, 2021

Leslie Piel, 63, of San Angelo, Texas passed away peacefully on Tuesday, September 7, 2021.

She was born on July 30, 1958, to Willard and Joyce (Venable) Piel in Ballinger, Texas.  She attended High School in Ballinger and was a member of the First United Methodist Church.  Leslie was a walking encyclopedia of birthdays, if you told her your birthday, she never forgot it.  She was a massive Dallas Cowboys fan and loved to dance and listen to 70’s music.  Above all, she loved her family.

Leslie is preceded in death by her parents Willard and Joyce Piel.

She is survived by her siblings, sister Allison Fischer and husband Randy of San Angelo, sister Kathy Willeford and husband Chris of Canton, sister Gay Lynn Fuentes and husband Chad Harris of San Angelo, and brother Dr. Chris Piel and wife Jennifer of Wolfforth, Texas.  Leslie is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews and dear friends.

A visitation will be held for Leslie on Friday, September 10, 2021, from 6:00-7:30 pm at Lange Funeral Home.  Her graveside service will follow on Saturday, September 11, 2021, at 10:00 am at the Rowena Protestant Cemetery with Tag Green officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Daybreak Group Home or the First United Methodist Church on Leslie’s behalf.

The family wishes to thank the Sunday school group at The First United Methodist Church of Ballinger for the cards that they regularly sent to Leslie that brought her so much joy.  They also wish to thank the staff at Daybreak for the tender love and care of Leslie throughout her stay there.
