Linda Jones

Linda Jones, 82, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on January 31, 2022.

Linda was born in Zephyr, Texas on January 11, 1940, to McKinley and Evadine Bradley.  She was the youngest of 10 children who have all passed before her.

In 1957, she met D.B. Jones in Midland, Texas and they were married on January 18, 1958.  Linda and D.B. had a close friendship and a deep love for one another.  They were married 62 years before D.B. passed away in January of 2019.  Linda was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a woman of faith.

In 1960, Linda was baptized and became a lifelong member of the Church of Christ.  She spent the early years of her marriage as a homemaker and a nurturing mother.  Linda later went on to complete her education and had a fulfilling career as a realtor for over 30 years.

Linda was known for her hospitality.  She loved to entertain, cook, decorate her home, and play games.  She had a huge heart and compassion for others and made everyone feel welcomed and loved.

Those left to cherish her memory are her children Leslie Jones (Dori) of West Monroe, Louisiana, Robbie smith (Jack) of Hot Springs, Arkansas, and Cyndy Caston (Marty) of Bronte, Texas.  She will also be missed by her grandchildren Jessi Carte (Jeff) of West Monroe, Louisiana, Cody Guilliams (Melody) of West Monroe, Louisiana, Megan Jones of Plano, Texas, Austin Jones of Collinsville, Oklahoma, Adam Caston (Sarah) of Bronte, Texas, Ginny Caston of Bronte, Texas, and Charissa (Bryan) Pearson of Columbia Missouri.  Linda had seven great-grandchildren along with numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren through her extended families who she loved dearly.

Linda's funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 am at the Ninth Street Church of Christ in Ballinger, Texas with Max Pratt officiating.  Her grandsons will carry her to her final resting place in the Robert Lee Cemetery.
