Lydia Luz, 68, of Winters, TX, passed away peacefully on October 3, 2024, surrounded by her family. Born on January 19, 1956, in Mission, TX, Lydia was dedicated to her family and community throughout her life. After graduating from Cisco College, she became a licensed vocational nurse (LVN), touching the lives of many patients over her 35-year career.

She is survived by her loving husband of 51 years, Enrique Luz; her four children, Linda, Raquel, Ricky, and Oscar; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; her brother Reynaldo Cavazos Jr. and Sister Irma Perez. Lydia was predeceased by her parents Reynaldo and Marie Cavazos, and her brothers, Joe and Rudy Cavazos. Her legacy of family, love, and inspiration will live on in the countless lives she touched.

A rosary will be held on October 7, 2024, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, Miles, TX, at 5 p.m. The funeral service will take place on October 8, 2024, at 10 a.m.
