Macaria Peña

Macaria Peña passed away on August 21, 2019, at Kennestone Hospital in Marrieta, Georgia.

Macaria was born in Ballinger, Texas, on February 28, 1933, to Dario Rodriguez and Menchora Martinez Rodriguez. She married Willie Peña from Ballinger on February 2, 1952.

Macaria was a devoted mother and grandmother who loved gardening, cooking, reading and playing with her puppy, Teddy.

She is survived by her daughter Lisa Peña; son Willie Peña Jr.; daughter in-law, Patricia Peña; grandchildren, Delisa Peña and Willie Patrick Peña from Atlanta. Also surviving are sisters, Oliva Terrazas from San Angelo, Monica Gomez from Ballinger, and Margaret Garcia from San Angelo.

The funeral service will be Monday, August 26, at 10:00 am at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger.  The family will be available for visitation from 9:00 to 10:00 am at the funeral home prior to the service.  Burial will follow in Garden of Memories, Evergreen Cemetery, in Ballinger.
