Mary Josaphine Favoccia

August 15, 1961 — February 27, 2024

Mary Josaphine Favoccia, 62, of Winters, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on Tuesday, February 27, 2024.

She was born on August 15, 1961, to Joseph and Minny (Shumaker) McKinny in Los Angeles, California.  Mary worked as a certified nurse’s aide, but her true joy in life was spoiling her grandbabies.  She enjoyed reading, listening to music, and caring for her animals. One of her greatest life lessons was that you cannot get back the time that you have lost.

Mary was a very loving woman that would help others in need. She had an amazing heart that touched many people throughout her life.  She loved to travel to see her friends and family. Her favorite spot to visit was the beach with her daughter Kristy. Mary selflessly chooses to adopt three children, Chris, Joseph, and Charlie, and they quickly became her world. Mary spent the last year of her life living with her son Jeff in Winters. Even when Mary was given the heart-wrenching blow of being diagnosed with cancer, she continued to stay positive and not let it get her down, knowing the difficulties she was about to face. Mary never lost her spunky personality and her loving nature. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.

Mary is preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Minny McKinny, and her infant son.

She is survived by her children, Kenneth Key, Jeff Cady and wife Bettie, Doug Cady, and Kristy Moore and husband Ramon.  Mary will also be greatly missed by her numerous grand and great-grandchildren.

A private family service will be held for Mary at a later date.
