Mildred Tabor, 81, of Ballinger, Texas, and longtime resident of Miles, Texas, passed away Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Shannon Medica Center in San Angelo, Texas.
Mildred was born April 22, 1940, to John E. and Florene (Boles) Campbell of Ballinger, Texas, where she grew up and attended school. She married Troy Don King in 1958 and had three children, where she made her home in Miles. She retired from Ethicon, where she worked for many years.
She married Jimmy Tabor in 1993 in Miles, Texas. After his death, she moved back to Ballinger to be near her children and grandchildren.
Mildred enjoyed sewing, cooking, watching the Hallmark channel, and reading books. She belonged to a local book club. She was an active member of the Glory Road Cowboy Church and enjoyed all of the church activities.
She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Jimmy Tabor; six brothers, Roy Campbell, Jack Campbell, Marshall Campbell, Lloyd Campbell, J. E. Campbell, and Doug Campbell; and her two sisters, Jean and Lola Campbell.
She is survived by her three children, Becky (Chris) Garrison, Donna (Jerry) Elkins, and Phil (Sandy) King, all of Ballinger, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jennifer Zickefoose of Abilene, Texas; Kimberly Cochran and Rebecca Elkins of Ballinger, Texas; John and Jace King of Weatherford, Texas; Tara Cheatham and Kalee Owen, both of Ballinger; Jami Stewart of San Angelo, Texas; and twelve great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 12, 2021, at the glory Road Cowboy Church in Ballinger, Texas with Myron Halford officiating.
