Minerva Lara

Minerva Lara, 79, passed away peacefully on Sunday, August 8, 2021, in Winters, Texas.

Minerva was born October 10, 1941, to Teofilo and Ramona (Sauceda) De Los Santos in Karnes City, Texas.  In 1958, she married Arnulfo Lara in Paint Rock, Texas.  Minerva was a stay-at-home mother and wife, and she dedicated her entire life to taking care of her family.  She was also a member of the Assembly of God Church.

Minerva is preceded in death by her husband, parents, and her brother Teofilo De Los Santos, Jr.

She is survived by her children, Marina Marrero, Enrique Lara, Esequiel Lara, Melissa Lara, Marta Nava and husband Jesus of Winters, Texas, and Ramona Lara of Abilene, Texas.  She is also survived by numerous grandchildren and by three sisters, Soila Mejia and husband Rosendo from Smiley, Texas, Adelfa Salas from Kenedy, Texas, and Yolanda Fernandez from Winters, Texas.

In lieu of flowers, donations to help with funeral expenses may be sent to Lange Funeral Home.

A Visitation will be held on Friday, August 13, 2021, from 6:00 – 7:30 pm at the chapel at Lange Funeral Home and her funeral service will follow on Saturday, August 14, 2021, at 10:00 am, also at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger.  Jim Hargrove will officiate.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Winters, Texas.
