Nancy Clayton Hallmark

Nancy was born the 14 ^th day of October in 1937 to Bryan and Zeola (Jeffries) Clayton.  She was the second born of three children.  She grew up in Talpa, Texas where she graduated.

Nancy married Daniel John Hallmark on June 7, 1958, in Big Spring, Texas and together they shared the next 63 years.  She worked at the Runnels County Courthouse for many years and eventually retired.  Her happiest moments were spending time with her grandchildren and being able to watch them grow up into adults.

Nancy is preceded in death by her father Bryan Clayton and her mother Zeola Clayton; sister Patsy Leonard; and an infant son.

She is survived by her husband Daniel Hallmark; son Dade (Jackie) Hallmark; daughter Tammy (David) Hallmark Torres; grandchildren Eva (Roque) Torres Muna, Reese (Rayven) Hallmark, David Lee Torres, Jr., and John David Torres.  She is also survived by two great-granddaughters, Aurora Ann Muna and Ava Marie Muna; brother F.E. (Jane) Clayton; her brother-in-law Lawrence Leonard; her nieces and nephews, Bryan Clayton, Sally (Matt) Yocham, Carol (Ken) Granzin, Ben Clayton, and Shawn (Brandi) Leonard; and her great-nieces and nephews.  Nancy is also survived by her soft cat Gabby, which she loved and who was a very special companion to her.

The family would like to thank Hospice of San Angelo for their loving care, especially her caregivers, Judy Dunn, Valentine Luna, and Sylvia Viveros.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 14, 2022, at Norwood Cemetery in Talpa, Texas with Pastor Lynn Smith officiating.  Her four grandchildren and her nephew, Shawn Leonard, will serve as pallbearers.
