Olivia Pena

Olivia Pena, 94, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully on Thursday, July 18, 2024, in San Antonio, Texas.

She was born October 1, 1929, to Ernesto Reyes and Mercedes Gomez. A dedicated homemaker, Oliva poured her heart and soul into creating a warm and loving home for her family. Her loved ones remember her as a wonderful wife, mother to her 9 children, hard worker, honest and trustworthy. Family gatherings were everything for Olivia with her children and grandchildren who she loved deeply.

Olivia was preceded in death by her parents Ernesto Reyes and Mercedes Gomez, husband Audon Pena, daughter Audelia Garcia, sons Tony Pena and Don Pena Jr., and two great-grandchildren.

She is survived by her children Arturo Pena, Armando Pena, Rudy Pena, Elvira Juarez, Lydia Rodriguez, and Hopie Pena, many grandchildren and great-grandchildren who will forever cherish the memories they created together. Olivia's kind heart and nurturing nature touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving a lasting impact on her community.

A rosary will be held for Olivia on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at 6:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas. Her Mass of Christian Burial will take place on the following day, Friday, July 26, 2024, at 10:00 AM at St. Mary's Catholic Church with Fr. Hilary Ihedioha celebrating. Interment will follow at Evergreen Cemetery.
