Olivia Perez

Olivia Perez, 92, of Ballinger passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022, at Ballinger Memorial Hospital.

Olivia was born in Ballinger, Texas, on Monday, May 12, 1930, to Jose and Theodora (Canada) Ramirez. She loved to tend to her flowers, and she also liked to bake delicious banana, pumpkin, and all sorts of breads and empanadas. Most of all, she enjoyed being with her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Jimmy Rios and Chris Rios; sisters, Celia Calzada, Josie Salas, Naomi Rios, and Armalinda Lopez.

Olivia is survived by her daughters, Margaret Mota and Esmerelda Perez, both of Ballinger; sons, Jose and wife Orencia Perez of Fort Worth, John Perez and wife Bernadine of Midland, Armando Perez and wife Freda of Ballinger; her sister, Martina Garza of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and grandchildren, Christine Speegle, Tasha Perez, Laura Relitz, Sammy Garcia, Jacob Mota, Armando Perez, Jr., and Andrew Perez.  Also surviving are 14 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend, Joelda Cuellar and her adopted family.

Rosary will be recited on Wednesday, September 28, 2022, from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Lange Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, September 29, 2022, at 10:00 AM at Lange Funeral Home Chapel with interment to follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger.
