On Thursday, April 9, 2020, Queandro Quarles, Sr. (Cha Che) 58, of San Angelo, TX, passed from this earthly life, in Katy, Texas.
He was born February 2, 1962, in Baltimore, MD to Frank James Quarles and Gracie Mae “Clark” Quarles. Cha-Che moved to Ballinger, Texas in 1964, with his beloved grandmother Flossie “Nannie” Clark. He was raised up in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church of Ballinger. He was educated in Ballinger ISD, Class of 1981, his sophomore year in the DECA program he went to work in the oil field for Pool Company out of Winters, Texas, where he continued to work well into his adult years. September 7, 1997, he was ordained to be a minister from Mt Moriah Baptist Church in Ballinger, Texas. In May 1999 he went to truck driving school for C.R. England, Inc. Trucking Company. He was driving for Watts and Stewart Trucking Company of San Angelo, Texas at the time of his death.
Cha Che is preceded in death by his parents, his beloved grandmother Nannie, his older brother Quantico “Tico” Quarles, very special Aunt Johnnie Mae Organ who helped Nannie raise him and his best friend/ brother law Michael Wayne Escobar, Sr.
Cha-Che is leaving behind to mourn his loss his one and only son Queandro ”Bubba” Quarles, Jr., his partner Andrala Crenshaw and her daughter Marie Crenshaw of San Angelo, Texas, his sister Quincarlita Dos Santos of Spring Valley, California and brother Qualietto “Quail” Quarles of Ballinger. Step-children Sharell Posey of Huntsville, Alabama and Antonio Posey of Aubrey, Texas.
He was a wonderful Pappa to his grandchildren Shyanne and Layla Jackson, Quendra and Qyra Quarles all of San Diego, California, Makayla Balkum of San Angelo, Texas nieces Meranda Logan-Davis of San Diego, California, Demetra-Logan Fredrick of Jacksonville, Florida, Tamarah M. Quarles of Maui, Hawaii, nephew Kenneth Logan, Jr. of Clarksville, Tennessee, Terrance Quarles of Maui, Hawaii, Kaden Quarles of Brownwood, Texas and Christian “Bubba” Bennett of Ballinger, Texas, his great-grandchildren, and eight great-nieces, five great-nephews, three great-great nieces and one great-great-nephew and a host of special relatives and friends.
A memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at a later date.
