Richard "Rick" Dale Barrow

Richard "Rick" Dale Barrow, 66, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by his loving family on Sunday, December 24, 2023

He was born on August 16, 1957, to Hubert Otho Barrow and Minnie Elizabeth Vaughan in Bonham, Texas. Shortly after, around the age of 1, his family moved to Ballinger and they have been lifetime residents since. Rick married the love of his life Betty (Powell) Barrow on March 14, 2009, in Ballinger, Texas. They shared 14 beautiful years together.

Rick was a heavy machine operator for many years and enjoyed hunting and fishing. He had a passion for Harley-Davidson.

Rick is preceded in death by his dad Emory Doty, and his father Hubert Barrow. His daughter Christy Michelle Nichols, and his two brothers Roger Glen Barrow and Jarrall Ray Barrow.

He is survived by his wife Betty Barrow; his mother Beth Doty; his three brothers, Johnny Barrow (Carol) of Hawkins, Texas, Bert Barrow (Ayesha) of Ballinger, Texas, and Larry Doty of Los Lunas, New Mexico; sister Becky Erline Brown of Bloomfield, New Mexico. He is also survived by his daughters Jennifer Aguilera (Gabriel) of San Angelo, Texas, Melanie Fields (Mike) of San Angelo, Texas, Brandi Barrow-Houston of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Karensa Barrow Vickers of Lawton, Oklahoma; one son Douglas Rich; stepdaughter Stephanie Ireland (Wesley) of Grape Creek, Texas; and stepsons Jon Soto (Sylvia Sanchez) of Ballinger, Texas and Brad David. He will also be greatly missed by his eleven grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and one special niece who called him Papa.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 29, 2023, at 2:00 p.m., at Old Runnels Cemetery with Jordan Burrell officiating.
