Ricky Dale Werner, 70, of San Angelo, Texas, passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Sunday, February 2, 2025.
He was born on February 2, 1955, to Edward and Diana (Wolfenbarger) Werner in San Angelo, Texas. Ricky was a cherished son, devoted husband, and loving father and grandfather. He spent his life cultivating not just the land, but also the bonds of family that sustained him. Ricky was a proud farmer, dedicating his years to working the fields. His passion for farming was matched only by his love for his family. When he wasn’t watching his grandkids in their sports, he could be found with a fishing rod in his hand.
Ricky is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Diana Werner, brother David Werner, niece Vicki Schwertner, and his grandparents.
He is survived by his devoted wife, Frances Mae Werner; his beloved sons, Neil and wife Lindsey Werner and their two sons, Wyatt and Colter, Bobby and wife Kimberly Werner and their three daughters, Abby, Kadie, and Lily; sister Carolyn and brother-in-law Sylvester Schwertner of Miles, and nieces and nephews, as well as a circle of friends and relatives who will remember him for his kindness, hard work, and unwavering dedication to those he loved. He is also survived by his furry companion, Calvin.
A memorial service for Ricky will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025, at 10:00 am at the Chapel at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas with Gary Karschner officiating.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your favorite charitable organization in Ricky’s honor.
