Rodolfo Cavazos

Rodolfo Cavazos, 63, of Ballinger, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023.

He was born on Friday, October 16, 1959, to Reynaldo and Inez (Moreno) Cavazos, Sr. in Floydada, Texas. After high school, Rodolfo honorably served his country in the US Army. He married the love of his life, Sandra Sanchez on January 25, 2003, in Corpus Christi, Texas.  He had many titles to his name engineer, rancher, spouse, father, and grandfather but his favorite was being a family man. He loved nothing more than spending time with his family on the ranch. He was always there for his family whether it was helping his daughter with reading books, playing soccer with the grandchildren, or taking the love of his life dancing.

Rodolfo was preceded in death by his parents, and brother, Joe Cavazos.

Those left behind to cherish his memory include his wife, Sandra; daughters, Lissette Hacker and husband Christian, Melissa Esquivel and husband Jason; son, Gilbert Anthony Ayala and wife Jennifer; Grandchildren, Zaiden Esquivel, Amelia Esquivel, Roel Soto Jr., Alyssa Soto, Alexis Ayala, Mariah Ayala, Jacob Ayala; brother, Reynaldo M Cavazos Jr. and wife Yolanda; sisters, Lydia Luz and husband Enrique Luz, Sr., Irma Perez and husband Juan; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A rosary will be recited at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Miles, Texas, on Monday, September 11, 2023, at 6:00 p.m.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 12, 2023, at St. Thomas Catholic Church, at 10:00 a.m., with Father Ariel Lagunilla celebrating. Interment will follow at Miles Cemetery, in Miles, Texas.
