Ronald John Hovorak, age 75, passed away in Portland, Oregon on Wednesday, the 18 th of January 2022.
He was the adventurous one of all the family. He left Texas in 1967 when he joined the Air Force. Following basic training, he was stationed at Luke Air Force Base. Once he served his country during the Vietnam War, he went on and stayed in Phoenix, Arizona. He was a plumbing contractor and had his own company in Phoenix, Arizona. After 20 or more years, he moved to Portland, Oregon, and continued his career as a plumbing contractor.
He had a zest for life and felt that San Angelo and Paint Rock were just too dull for him.
He was born in Ballinger, Texas in 1946 and started school in Ballinger School, but at Christmas break in 1958, he moved to Paint Rock and graduated in 1965.
He is survived by his children, Cathryn Porterfield, David Hovorak from Phoenix, Arizona, Alexia Hovorak from Portland, Oregon. He has 5 grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents; John and Alexia Hovorak, brother Jerry Hovorak, Niece, Trisha Hovorak, and Great Nephew Jacob Hovorak.
He is survived by his twin sister, Gayle Hovorak, brother Kirk Hovorak and his wife Cheryl Hovorak. Two nephews Jonathan Hovorak and Brian Hovorak.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 pm Saturday afternoon the 29 th of January in the Rowena Protestant Cemetery in Rowena, Texas.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Rowena Protestant Cemetery Association or a charity of choice.
