Roy Lloyd

Roy Lee Lloyd, 78, formerly of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully Saturday, March 18, 2023.

He was born on Monday, December 18, 1944, to Onnon and Eddie Mae (Fikes) Lloyd, in Rosebud, Texas. Roy married the love of his life, Mary Kennedy, on October 17, 1969, in Ballinger, Texas and they have shared 53 years together. He was a former member of Ninth Street Church of Christ, Ballinger Masonic Lodge, and an avid HAM Radio Operator.

Roy is preceded in death by his parents; brother William “Bill” Lloyd; sister Mary June Barnes and brother-in-law William Barnes.

He is survived by his wife, Mary; daughters Theresa Lee and husband Billy of Abilene, Kathy Rainey and husband Jack, of Carbon; son Scott Lloyd and family of Ohio; grandchildren Sean Williams and wife Ronnette, Miranda Smith, Katlynn Thomas and husband Justin, Rhianna Lee, Jacquelynn Miller and husband Nicolas, Samuel Rainey, and Joseph Rainey; great-grandchildren Ailena Williams, Carter Williams, Kenah Smith, Ryatt Smith, Sawyer Thomas, Evalynn Thomas, Raelynn Thomas, and Luke Miller; sister in law Wanda Lloyd; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, March 21, 2023, from 5:00-7:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, March 22, 2023, at 2:00 p.m. at Ninth Street Church of Christ with Max Pratt officiating.
