Ryan Kyler Monroe Cook

August 2, 1988 — April 24, 2024

Ryan Kyler Monroe Cook was called home on April 24, 2024, in Abilene, Texas, at the age of 35. He was born on August 2, 1988, in beautiful Ruidoso, New Mexico.

Kyler has the most kind, loving, and generous soul. He was a very creative and brilliant human being. He had a passion for writing poetry, admiring sunsets, and spending time at the beach and in the mountains. A lover of thunderstorms, snow, and the wind, finding joy in the beauty of nature. He had a great adoration for music and sharing that with others. Kyler's deep love for all people and animals was a great inspiration and priceless gift to those who knew him. His generosity was unmatched and would give his last penny to help out others.  Ky's legacy is to love one another and speak kindness into all, always doing the best to point out the positive.

Kyler will be deeply missed and remembered by his surviving family members: his Dad and Mom Jim and Kathie Henderson, mother Jaci (Cook) Sargent, brothers Josh Cook, Landon Sargent, Nathaniel Sargent, and Timber Rogers, sisters Kari Cook and Caymen Rogers, special cousins Charlie Dillard and Mary Dillard, cousin Savanna Smith and friend Shawn Kraatz who he also called brother. He had many other friends and family that he cherished and was loved by. He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Rogers, beloved Mawmaw and Pawpaw, and cousin Slade Joshua Smith.

In honoring Kyler's memory, let us cherish the moments shared with him and the love he brought into the lives of those around him. The world is a better place for having known Ky. Peace and Love.
