Sylvia Jane Gonzales

Sylvia Jane Gonzales, 61, of Winters, Texas, passed away on Saturday, October 2, 2021, at Hendricks South in Abilene.

She was born on December 23, 1959, to Fidencio and Julia (Cantu) Gonzales in Winters, Texas. Sylvia was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Parish.  She loved to listen to recorded stories and the television.  She learned at a very young age how to sew by hand and mastered all different kinds of projects.  Before losing her sight, she crocheted many beautiful projects as well.

Sylvia is preceded in death by her father Fidencio Gonzales and her sister Kathy Flores.

She is survived by her mother Julia Gonzales, her brothers James Gonzales of Winters and Arnold Gonzales and wife Christine of Abilene, and her sister Nancy Ramos and husband Joe of Abilene.

A rosary will be held for Sylvia at the chapel at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger on Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at 6:00 pm and her funeral service will follow also at Lange Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at 10:00 am with Deacon Claudio Sanchez officiating.  Interment will follow at Lakeview Cemetery in Winters.
