Sylvia Ortiz, 65, of Winters, Texas, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2021, at North Runnels Hospital.
She was born on April 30, 1956, to Ynez and Lucia (Chavirra) Garza, in San Antonio, Texas. On April 30, 2005, she married Daniel Ortiz, who preceded her in death in 2006. She worked as a stocker for Walmart for six years. She was a loving parent and adored her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sylvia loved to play bingo and volleyball and was a member of the First Baptist Church of Winters.
Sylvia was a wonderful woman, who prided herself on being a hard worker. She loved her children and doted on her great-grandchildren. She was an exceptional mother who raised 3 children on her own. She sacrificed herself helping those that needed help. She had a giving heart and a loving soul. She was a fighter who always gave her all. This was instilled in all of her children, which in turn, passed to the grandchildren. Her legacy and love will forever follow in her memory and in her name. Her kindness and sacrifice will never be forgotten by those that were touched and by her loving spirit. She is now happy and free to live out eternity with those that she missed dearly. She is smiling and laughing with her angel wings and now a protector to us all in spirit, as she was in life. She will forever be missed by all, especially by those who loved her most. She leaves behind a lifetime of love for her entire family and will be awaiting their arrival in time.
Sylvia is preceded in death by her parents Ynez and Lucia, her stepfather Jim Baldonado, her husband Daniel, and her son-in-law Juan Ortiz.
She is survived by her children, son Adrian Albarado and wife Carrie of Austin, daughters Melissa Albarado and Crystal Ortiz both of Winters.
