Thomas Anthony Rico

Thomas Anthony Rico, 59, of Blythewood, South Carolina, formerly of Ballinger, Texas, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 26, 2023.

Thomas was born October 7, 1963, and was raised by his beloved grandparents, Julia and Dimas Rico. He married his high school sweetheart and the love of his life, Becky Ramos, on January 5, 1985, in Ballinger. They were married 39 wonderful years and have 4 beautiful daughters and 2 grandchildren.

Rico was a hardworking man and made friends everywhere he went. He will be remembered for his strong but kind personality. He always wanted to help where he could and he was known as the kind of guy who you wanted to have your back. Rico loved the Dallas Cowboys and Houston Astros and loved jamming out to the classics like AC/DC, The Eagles, Pink Floyd, Mazz and ELO to name a few.

Thomas is preceded in death by his grandparents, and two brothers, Adam, and Marty Lugo.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife, Becky Rico; four children, Angela Burns, Allyson Rico, Alondra Rico, Allyssa Rico; two grandchildren, Robert and Dawson; a sister, Freda Perez; brother, Kenneth Burchfield; aunt and uncle, Monica and Mike Reed; and his best friends, Greg, Daniel, Bubba, Johnny, Skippy, and Arturo.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Tuesday, May 9, 2023, from 5:30-7:30 pm, at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger.
