THOMAS RAY WISDOM

April 13, 1967 — September 28, 2024

Thomas Wisdom, 57, passed away on September 28, 2024, at 1:52 pm. Thomas was born on April 13, 1967, in San Angelo, TX to Melvin Wisdom and Sylvia Wisdom. He married the love of his life Russel Theroux of San Angelo, TX on July 29, 2018, in Reno, NV.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents, Ida Enochs, Holvey Enochs, Fred Harris and Lou Harris.

Thomas is survived by his spouse Russel Theroux; father Melvin Wisdom; mother Sylvia Wisdom; son Tyler Wisdom; daughter Tanner Salazar; sister Melissa Schmidt; brother-in-law Richard Schmidt; daughter-in-law Samantha Wisdom; son-in-law Beau Salazar; eight grandchildren, eight nieces, and several great nieces and nephews plus a bonus mom Barbara Jean Johnson.

To know Tommy was a privilege. His few words were a hallmark of wisdom, and he embodied the roles of son, brother, husband, father, uncle and grandfather with remarkable skill.

His kindness, selflessness, and willingness to help others without expectations were traits that endeared him to many. Tommy's sense of humor was legendary, and his ability to recite movie quotes from Smokey and The Bandit was unmatched. He was the ultimate problem-solver. Able to fix anything that was broken, but his colorful language often indicated when things weren't going well. As a mentor, he was highly influential and shared his expertise with others. Tommy was fearless, nothing scared him except seeing someone he loved hurting. He was an adventurer who loved traveling with loved ones. He held a special affection for his mother's cooking and often requested it.

His passing has left a void in the lives of family and friends, but his legacy goes on.
