Wiley “Wayne” Paschal age 79 passed away at home with family by his side after a lengthy illness.
Wayne was preceded in death by his father and mother Harry and Irvie Lee Paschal; his brothers; Dennis, Elvis, and Bill Paschal; and sisters; Lidell Dunlap and Wanda Kieltyka.
Wayne is survived by his wife Deanna; sons: James and wife Candace Paschal, Dan Paschal, and FCCM(SW/AW) Eric Paschal, USN Retired and wife Laurie; Grandsons: Taylor Paschal, 2 LT Wyatt Paschal US Army, FCSA Jacob Paschal USN, and Kyle Paschal; Granddaughters: Eden Paschal and Jackie Aldeman, and Great Granddaughter Essence. Wayne is also survived by his sister Maedell Watkins plus numerous nieces and nephews.
Wayne was born July 09, 1943, at home in Ballinger, TX. He attended school in Ballinger until tenth grade when in 1960 he entered the US Army. He had basic training at Fort Ord, CA and served in Germany until discharge. He came home to Ballinger to work at the cotton gin and Dry Manufacturing. He met his wife Deanna in 1964 and later married that same year. He started 26 years of work in the oil field with Pool Well Service of San Angelo and later with Hydro Test of Long Beach, California. Wayne worked in the oil fields of West Texas, Southern California, Bolivia, Malaysia, and Indonesia. In 1990 he and Deanna returned to Ballinger to work for Gerber Childrenswear Inc. until it closed in 2000. He went from part-time to full-time work with Allsup's Convenience Stores until 2007. He finished his working career as an Army contractor for a company located at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico 2007 - 2012 when he chose to return to Ballinger, TX. He was raised in Ballinger Church of God and loved the Lord. He enjoyed attending 7th Street Baptist Church of Ballinger, TX while he was able.
Wayne worked very hard to support his family. He was a good husband and father; and helped his three sons grow to be fine adult men. Although he didn’t finish high school he knew the value of education and in his early 60’s he returned to school to earn his GED.
A sincere thank you to the friends and neighbors who supported the family through this journey, especially the family of Shirley Esser with daughters Dawn, Linda, Cindy, and son David.

A funeral will be held on Thursday, February 16, 2023, at Seventh Street Baptist Church in Ballinger, Texas at 3:00 pm, with interment at Old Runnels Cemetery.
