Garrett Jason Cook

Garrett Jason Cook, 26, of Miles, Texas, went to be with his Lord and Savior on Sunday, September 3, 2023.

He was born on November 26, 1996, to Reginald Paul and Christina Dawn (Offill) Cook in San Angelo, Texas.  He was a graduate of Paint Rock High School in 2015. After graduation, Garrett married his High School Sweetheart, Reagan Jessup on August 11, 2018, in a ceremony in Miles, Texas. He was a hard worker, an excellent provider, and loyal to his family, friends, and the 157.

Garrett is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Lance Cook, his great-aunt Regina Cook, and a sweet baby in heaven to welcome him there.

He is survived by his wife Reagan Cook, his sons Gavin and Zane Cook, his parents Redgy Cook and Christina Offill, and his brother Gage Cook.  Garrett will be dearly remembered by his grandparents, Lisa Cook, Carol St.Cyr, Garry Thompson, Debbie Elguezabal and husband Adolfo, Ralph Smetana, and Vickie Cooke, and Rick and Linda Offill.  He is also survived by his great-grandparents Roy and Jody Smith, and his father and mother-in-law Butch and Kelly Jessup.  Garrett will also be missed by his sisters-in-law Taylor Jessup and fiance Joe Davis, Blayke and her husband Taner Shott, as well as two nieces, four nephews; and his 157 brothers.  He also leaves behind several aunts and uncles including; Shanna Smetana, Melissa Clements and husband Cody, Brandon Smetana and Liz Carrasco, Robbie Simpson and husband Jeremy, and six cousins.  Garrett held a special place in our hearts, he was so loved and will be forever missed.

A visitation for Garrett will be held on Friday, September 8, 2023, from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas.  His funeral service will be held on the following day, Saturday, September 9, at 10:00 am the chapel at Lange Funeral Home with Jordon Burrell officiating.  His interment will follow at Miles Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Reagan, Gavin, and Zane, at the First National Bank of Ballinger, in Garrett’s honor.

The family wishes to thank everyone for all the prayers, love, food, and donations. Please continue to pray for our family as we grieve in the hard days to come.
